Perimenopause & Menopause —

Handled with care, clarity and credibility

Practical, evidence-informed menopause education for workplaces.

Building awareness, confidence and capability without over-medicalising or oversimplifying.

WHY THIS TRAINING MATTERS

Perimenopause and menopause can affect concentration, confidence, sleep, energy and emotional regulation — often at a stage when women are holding senior roles, carrying leadership responsibilities and managing caring commitments

Yet many workplaces still:

  • Don’t know what’s appropriate to say

  • Worry about “getting it wrong”

  • Leave managers unsupported

  • Leave employees feeling they have to quietly cope

Peri Mayhem training creates a calm, informed and respectful space for learning — helping organisations respond appropriately, confidently and compassionately.

Awareness is a valuable first step. Practical capability is what turns good intentions into meaningful workplace support.

Meet the Founder

Peri Mayhem was created by Marie McLaughlin, a Learning & Development consultant, facilitator and published author with more than 20 years’ experience designing and delivering workplace learning across regulated financial services, the public sector and professional environments.

Marie is the author of The Rage, the Sweat and the Patches, a candid, down-to-earth memoir drawn from her own lived experience of perimenopause. Through the book, she brings an honest and relatable voice to a subject that can often feel misunderstood, minimised or difficult to discuss.

Peri Mayhem brings these two strands together: professional Learning & Development expertise and lived understanding. The result is evidence-informed, workplace-appropriate training that is clear, practical and human—while maintaining firm boundaries between workplace education and clinical advice.
